What We Actually Check
A wellness exam here isn’t a five-minute once-over. Our vet works through your pet head to tail — eyes, ears, teeth, heart and lung sounds, joints, skin and coat — and checks weight against their last visit, since a few pounds up or down often says more than anything else at this stage. From there:
- We look at what vaccines are due and which ones can wait
- We check for heartworm, fleas, and ticks, and talk through prevention that fits how your pet actually lives (indoor cat vs. dog at the dog park is a different conversation)
- We flag anything dental that’s starting to build before it turns into a bigger problem
- For older pets or anyone with an existing condition, we’ll usually suggest bloodwork to see what’s happening under the hood
- You leave with a plan, not just a “see you next year”
Why Pet Owners in Kendall Keep Coming Back
We’re veterinarian-owned, which means the person examining your pet has a real stake in how this clinic runs — not a rotating schedule of unfamiliar faces. We’ve been at this same address since the ’70s, so if your parents or grandparents brought a pet here, there’s a decent chance we still have the file. Clients tell us the clinic feels calm rather than clinical, which matters if your pet gets anxious in waiting rooms. And we’re open six days a week, including Saturday mornings, because not every household can make a weekday appointment work.
